Phylogenetic analysis and docking study of neuraminidase gene of influenza A/H1N1 viruses circulating in Iran from 2010 to 2019
This study highlighted the evolutionary trend of influenza A virus/H1N1 circulating in Iran, which provides a preliminary viewpoint for a better comprehension of new emerging strains' virulence and thus, more appropriate monitoring of influenza virus A/H1N1 during each outbreak season.PMID:37490957 | DOI:10.1016/j.virusres.2023.199182

Modulation of Immune Responses Against HA1 Influenza Vaccine Candidate by B-lymphocyte Stimulator Cytokine in Mice
Iran J Allergy Asthma Immunol. 2022 Apr 11;21(2):207-214. doi: 10.18502/ijaai.v21i2.9228.ABSTRACTUtilizing subunit vaccines is one of the strategies to address influenza infection. Recent innovations have focused on high doses of vaccine antigens and immune enhancers or adjuvant to induce more robust and long-lasting immune responses. Here, an effect of the B cell-activating factor receptor (BAFF-R) to increase the magnitude and durability of immune responses of the recombinant HA1 (rHA1) protein against the H1N1 influenza virus was studied. The HA1 protein and the effector domain of BAFF-R were expressed in the pET-28a (+...

Recombinant hemagglutinin of swine H1N1 influenza virus expression in the insect cells: Formulation in Montanide ISA71 adjuvant and the potency studies
CONCLUSION: To summarize, the results showed that the recombinant protein with the MontanideTM ISA- 71 adjuvant developed a more appropriate level of immunity than Alum adjuvant, so it might be used as a safe and reliable vaccine against H1N1 virus for further research.PMID:35317113 | PMC:PMC8917850 | DOI:10.22038/IJBMS.2021.57053.12716

Evaluating the Immune Response of Recombinant H1N1 Hemagglutinin with MF59 Adjuvant in Animal Model as a Novel Alternative to the Influenza Vaccine
This study examines the potential function of formulated H1N1 hemagglutinin with MF59 adjuvant against A/PR/8/34 (H1N1). To this end, a recombinant hemagglutinin (rHA) gene of influenza A virus was designed and expressed in SF9 cell by the Baculovirus expression system. Four groups of mice were immunized by rHA in combination with MF59, Alum adjuvant, and virus split only. The immunized mice subsequently used for the humoral immune assay and the results compared with untreated mice (negative group). Besides, both treated and control mice groups were challenged with mouse-adapted influenza virus A/PR/8/34(H1N1) through the ...
