Clinical Outcomes of Endovascular Treatment within 24 Hours in Patients with Mild Ischemic Stroke and Perfusion Imaging Selection INTERVENTIONAL
CONCLUSIONS: Patients with mild ischemic stroke and large-vessel occlusion in the anterior circulation, an imaging mismatch, and endovascular treatment within 6–24 hours of initial symptoms showed no heterogeneity in the efficacy and safety outcome compared with those treated ≤6 hours from symptom onset.

Comparisons of ASPECTS 5 and 6 for endovascular treatment in anterior circulation occlusive stroke.
Conclusions ASPECTS 5 has very little chance to reach good functional outcome in Chinese patients with anterior circulation large-artery occlusive stroke. Future studies with large sample sizes are needed. PMID: 28728534 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Carotid vulnerable plaque coexisting with cerebral small vessel disease and acute ischemic stroke: a Chinese Atherosclerosis Risk Evaluation study
ConclusionsCarotid vulnerable plaque features coexisting with CSVDs, particularly lacunes, had a stronger association with AIS compared to carotid lesions alone in a large, symptomatic, cohort.Trial registrationClinical trial registration URL:http://www.clinicaltrials.gov, unique identifier: NCT02017756Key Points• Carotid vulnerable plaque features coexisting with cerebral small vessel diseases, such as lacunes, had a stronger association with acute ischemic stroke compared to single diseases in symptomatic patients.• A comprehensive assessment of coexisting cerebrovascular diseases may help stratify the risk of acute ischemic stroke.

Conventional and Diffusional Magnetic Resonance Imaging Features of Mitochondrial Encephalomyopathy, Lactic Acidosis, and Stroke-Like Episodes in Chinese Patients: A Study of 40 Cases
Conclusions This study demonstrates the conventional and diffusional MRI features of MELAS, suggesting a model of acute stroke-like lesions in which the cortex manifest with cytotoxic edema and the subcortical area with vasogenic edema.

Time to Endovascular Reperfusion and Outcome in Acute Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionAmong patients with acute ischemic stroke in routine clinical practice, shorter time to reperfusion was associated with better outcome after endovascular therapy. Standardized workflows and training in endovascular treatment techniques should be promoted nationally to reduce in-hospital delays.

Effectiveness and safety of the Trevo ® Retriever for mechanical thrombectomy in Chinese patients with acute ischemic stroke: Trevo Retriever China Registry
CONCLUSIONS: This real-world study of the Trevo Retriever in China demonstrated a high rate of revascularization and first-pass success that resulted in an overall high good function outcome rate and low mortality.PMID:36703568 | DOI:10.1177/15910199231151275

Safety and efficacy of adjunct tirofiban treatment following mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke patients with large vessel occlusion (LVO) resulting in successful reperfusion
CONCLUSION: Adjunct tirofiban treatment following MT for AIS patients with LVO that resulted in successful reperfusion on DSA was not correlated with the increased risk of safety endpoints on sICH, ICH, and 3-month mortality, and it may be associated with a lower 3-month mRS score.PMID:36358016 | DOI:10.1177/15910199221138883
