Effects of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation and Neuromuscular Joint Facilitation on Upper Limb Motor Disorders for Stroke Patients
CONCLUSIONS: Transcranial direct current stimulation combined with the neuromuscular joint method demonstrated good rehabilitative effects on upper-limb movement disorders for stroke patients and significantly improved their upper-limb function and promoted recovery of nerve functions.PMID:36350318

Efficacy of integrated rehabilitation techniques of traditional chinese medicine for ischemic stroke: a randomized controlled trial.
This study aimed to determine the efficacy of Integrated Rehabilitation Techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine (IRT-TCM) on patients with ischemic stroke as an alternative therapy to conventional rehabilitation techniques. Sixty-nine patients with ischemic stroke were randomly assigned to receive either IRT-TCM (intervention group, n = 46) or conventional rehabilitation techniques (control group, n = 23). The IRT-TCM consisted of a sequential combination of acupuncture and massage techniques. The Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Barthel index (BI) and modified Rankin Scal...

Effects of traditional Chinese exercises on the rehabilitation of limb function among stroke patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSION: Current evidence showed that TCEs produced positive effects on limb motor function, balance function, ADL ability and neurological impairment among stroke patients. More large-scale, high-quality, multiple center RCTs are required to further verify above conclusions in the future. PMID: 29122267 [PubMed - in process]

Chinese herbal medicine Dengzhan Shengmai capsule as adjunctive treatment for ischemic stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials.
CONCLUSION: DZSM capsule appears to improve neurological function, quality of life, and reduce recurrence rate based on conventional therapy for ischemic stroke. DZSM capsule seems generally safe for clinical application. However, the findings of benefit are inconclusive due to generally weak evidence, and further large, rigorous trials are still warranted. Use of Kinesio taping in lower-extremity rehabilitation of post-stroke patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSION: KT may have positive effects on lower-extremity, post-stroke rehabilitation. Due to the limited number and quality of the research, additional studies are needed to identify KT benefits. PMID: 31003662 [PubMed - in process]

Longshengzhi Capsules Improve Ischemic Stroke Outcomes and Reperfusion Injury via the Promotion of Anti-Inflammatory and Neuroprotective Effects in MCAO/R Rats.
This study aimed to define the effects of LSZ on proinflammatory mediators and neuroprotective effects on middle cerebral artery occlusion and refusion (MCAO/R) rats. Rats were treated with different doses of LSZ (0.54, 1.62, and 4.32 g/(kg·d)) in a week after model building. LSZ could improve the survival rate, ischemic stroke outcome, and infarct volume. In addition, significant decrease was observed in reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels and inflammatory factor levels in LSZ-treated groups, concomitant with increase in activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), neurosynaptic remodeling, and decrease in brain edema. I...

The Role of Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing for Stroke: An Umbrella Review
CONCLUSIONS: All included SRs/MAs suggested positive findings of TCM nursing for stroke, but the credibility of the results is limited. Studies with methodologically rigorous and adequately powered are still needed in this field.PMID:34306161 | PMC:PMC8266461 | DOI:10.1155/2021/9918687

Analysis of Influencing Factors of Compliance with Non-Vitamin K Antagonist Oral Anticoagulant in Patients with Nonvalvular Atrial Fibrillation and Correlation with the Severity of Ischemic Stroke
In this study, a total of 156 patients with NVAF who received NOAC anticoagulation therapy in our hospital from January 2018 to January 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The results showed that education background, place of residence, number of complications, CHA2DS2-VASc score, and HAS-BLED score were independent influencing factors for NOACS compliance of NVAF patients. Also, the Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a negative correlation (r = -0.465, P < 0.001) between NOAC compliance and severity of ischemic stroke in patients with NVAF. Therefore, clinical supervision and management of patients wit...
