Extranodal Natural killer/T‐cell lymphoma nasal type: Detection by computed tomography features
ConclusionsNasal floor mucosal thickness >2.0 mm or nasal septum mucosal thickness >2.5 mm may be indicators serving as one of several important hints for implicit NKTL. Finally, we established a diagnostic flowchart to include all of these important hints. Level of Evidence4. Laryngoscope, 2014

The clinical value of peak nasal inspiratory flow, Peak oral inspiratory flow, and the nasal patency index
ConclusionsPeak nasal inspiratory flow is the most reliable method for the assessment of nasal patency. It is quick, inexpensive, and easy to perform, and correlates significantly with the subjective feeling of nasal obstruction. There is no clinical need to measure peak oral inspiratory flow or to calculate the nasal patency index in the evaluation of nasal patency. Level of Evidence4 Laryngoscope, 2014

Acute camptocormia as the presenting symptom of tetanus
We report an unusual case of tetanus with camptocormia as the initial symptom. Case presentation A 77-year-old female farmer with unremarkable medical history arrived at our hospital due to difficulty in swallowing and a dropped head which were noticed 4 days prior to the visit. On examination at arrival, she had camptocormia with increased tonus of rectus abdominis muscle. She also had hoarseness in speech and mild limitation in opening her mouth. No wound was observed. Investigation On laryngoscopy, saliva was pooling around the epiglottis with decreased mobility. Therefore, she was admitted to the intensive care un...

Development and testing for an operative competency assessment tool for nasal septoplasty surgery.
CONCLUSION: This study proved our educational tool to be a valid, reliable, and feasible method for assessing competency in septoplasty surgery. It can be integrated into surgical training programs to facilitate direct formative feedback. Assessing trainees' learning curves enables insight into their progression, ensuring their appropriate development. PMID: 25197910 [PubMed - in process]
