Increasing likelihood of prescribing recommended lipid management: Primary care providers' participation in cardiology continuing medical education

Indonesian primary care physicians profile in 2011: Did practicing hours and conversion program for family medicine differentiate their services and continuing medical education activities?
Conclusions: The Indonesian PCPs were lacking in the provision of some particular medical procedures, management and follows up of acute and chronic conditions, and preventive medicine and health education. Improvement of primary health care has been seen globally as necessary effort in health systems reform and this information could provide guidance toward the efforts to improve the quality of primary care physicians in Indonesia.

Eight years’ experience with a Medical Education Journal Club in Mexico: a quasi-experimental one-group study

Effect of Novel Continuing Medical Education Curriculum on Attitudes and Understanding of Primary Care Medicine for the Naval Surface Provider.
CONCLUSION: This study demonstrates improvement in Naval surface provider knowledge and attitudes in a variety of subject areas after implementation of a novel curriculum tailored specifically to address the unique considerations for practice at sea. Material was beneficial to all trainees despite significant differences in training background. Confidence gained as a result of the course was directly correlated to perceived relevance of the material, but not to educational background.
