51.8 medical education in the time of covid-19: a literature review on e-learning
During the COVID-19 pandemic, medical schools have had to reassess their teaching capabilities. Blended learning, a teaching modality that emphasizes self-study using online modules combined with in-person lectures, has been gaining in popularity over the past several years due to its convenience and effectiveness. However, social distancing makes in-person time impractical, and fully online courses have become necessary. This literature review assesses the effectiveness of e-learning as well as the perceived satisfaction of students who take online courses in lieu of traditional in-person medical education.

2.117 A Qualitative Study of the Effectiveness of a Cascading Mentorship Model in Developing CanMEDS Competencies in Postgraduate Medical Education
The Canadian Medical Education Directives for Specialists (CanMEDS) framework defines competencies that physicians require to meet patients ’ needs, including advocacy, scholarship, communication, collaboration, professionalism, and leadership, all of which can be cultivated through mentorship activities. The Advocacy Mentorship Initiative (AMI) at the University of Toronto (UofT) utilizes a cascading mentorship model (CMM). In this m odel, resident mentors (RMs) mentor undergraduate medical student mentors (MSMs), who in turn mentor youth raised in at-risk environments.

35.1 Teaching Model for Integration of Psychiatry and Primary Care at the Undergraduate Medical Education Level
More than half of individuals with mental health conditions seek care from their primary care providers. Studies explore the impact of chronic illness in adolescence with an outcome of mental illness in adolescence and adulthood. Residency-training programs are teaching integrated models of care. Child and adolescent psychiatrists should develop a curriculum in undergraduate medical education for students interested in primary care that addresses mental health needs and transition to adulthood.

Fellow Versus Resident: Graduate Medical Education and Patient Outcomes After Anterior Cervical Diskectomy and Fusion Surgery.
