Type 1 diabetes from adolescence to adulthood: is there a permanent need for nutrition education and reeducation?
CONCLUSIONS: The results suggest that questions regarding carbohydrate counting may predict glycaemic control. Patients diagnosed in childhood may be more knowledable in diabetes management, but their practical skill in matching insulin dose and carbohydrate content is poor. Insulin pump initiation and education for children and adolescents – a qualitative study of current practice in New Zealand
ConclusionsDifferences seen between hospitals reflected team preference, and possibly a lack of consensus/guidance from the medical literature.
