Polyethylene glycol as marker for nitrofurazone allergy: 20  years of experience from Turkey
ConclusionsPEG sensitivity seems to be a marker for contact allergy to topical nitrofurazone in Turkey. Nitrofurazone allergy appears to favour concomitant sensitization to PEG. We would suggest the inclusion of PEG in an extended baseline patch test series in Turkey. Late patch test readings are important to diagnose delayed positive reactions to PEG.

Rare occurrence of common filaggrin mutations in Turkish children with food allergy and atopic dermatitis.
CONCLUSIONS: Although R501X, 2282del4, R2447X and S3247X mutations are very common in European populations, we found that FLG mutations were infrequent and there is not any significant association in Turkish individuals with food allergy and/or atopic dermatitis.
