Exploring the situational motivation of medical students through clinical medicine level test: a cross-sectional study
In this study, we systemically analyzed the performance of a cohort of medical students at Jinan University School of Medicine participating in the recent CMLT. The analytical results of the medical students' written and objective structure clinical examination (OSCE) scores showed that their academic performance was predominantly associated with students' internship allocations, although other demographic characteristics such as gender, age, geographical origin of students, Grade Point Average (GPA) might be sporadically related to the students' OSCE performance at different OSCE stations. IJERPH, Vol. 16, Pages 4119: An Exploration of Medical Education in Central and Southern China: Measuring the Professional Competence of Clinical Undergraduates
Conclusion: The competence scale showed excellent reliability and validity. Respondents in this study showed a moderate level of professional competence. This study could be a reference for medical educators and policy makers in order to improve medical education standards for clinical undergraduates in China and other countries with similar settings.
