Impact of type of oral anticoagulants in patients with cerebral microbleeds after atrial fibrillation-related ischemic stroke or TIA: Results of the NOACISP-LONGTERM registry
ConclusionsIn AF-stroke patients treated with OAC, the presence of CMBs was associated with an unfavorable composite outcome for both VKAs and DOACs, with a higher risk for recurrent IS than for ICH. Strokes were numerically higher under VKAs and increased in the presence of CMBs.Clinical trial registrationhttp://www.clinicaltrials.gov, Unique identifier: NCT03826927.

Acute Ischemic Stroke in Pregnancy
ConclusionFetal safety concerns should not preclude routine diagnostic work-up (except for gadolinium contrast media administration) in childbearing AIS women, including procedures applied in unknown onset and late onset individuals. Due to rather low added risk of serious treatment complications, pregnancy should not be a  sole contraindication for neither IVT, nor endovascular treatment.

Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis following Russell's viper (Daboia russelii) envenomation: A case report and review of the literature
We report a previously healthy middle-aged Indian female who developed cerebral venous sinus thrombosis preceded by features of disseminated bleeding diathesis following Russell's viper bite. The cerebral venous sinus thrombosis was diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging. The patient responded well to treatment with antivenom and subcutaneous enoxaparin and had no demonstrable neurological deficits at three months of follow-up.PMID:36041514 | DOI:10.1016/j.toxicon.2022.08.014

Research and application advances in rehabilitation assessment of stroke
J Zhejiang Univ Sci B. 2022 Aug 15;23(8):625-641. doi: 10.1631/jzus.B2100999.ABSTRACTStroke has a high incidence and disability rate, and rehabilitation is an effective means to reduce the disability rate of patients. To systematize rehabilitation assessment, which is the foundation for rehabilitation therapy, we summarize the assessment methods commonly used in research and clinical applications, including the various types of stroke rehabilitation scales and their applicability, and related biomedical detection technologies, including surface electromyography (sEMG), motion analysis systems, transcranial magnetic stimula...
