Oral milrinone for management of refractory right ventricular failure in patients with left ventricular assist devices
ConclusionsOral milrinone appears safe for long-term use in the outpatient setting when combined with therapeutic monitoring in this complex medical cohort with limited management options. Further study is needed to ascertain whether this treatment is effective in reducing heart failure symptoms and admissions.

Biventricular imaging markers to predict outcomes in non ‐compaction cardiomyopathy: a machine learning study
ConclusionsOur findings show the importance of biventricular assessment to detect the severity of this cardiomyopathy and to plan for early clinical intervention. In addition, this study shows that even patients with normal LV function and negative late gadolinium enhancement had MACE. ML is a promising tool for analysing a large set of parameters to stratify and predict prognosis in LVNC patients.

Risk stratification and clinical outcomes after surgical pulmonary valve replacement
ConclusionPatients undergoing PVR at larger RV volumes had similar survival but more overall CAE. A larger study population with a longer follow-up will be required to determine if early PVR provides survival benefit in the long-term.

Levitronix bilateral ventricular assist device, a bridge to recovery in a patient with acute fulminant myocarditis and concomitant cerebellar infarction.
We report on the case of a 27-year-old male who presented to our emergency room with chest tightness, dyspnoea and cold sweats. The 12-lead electrocardiogram showed diffuse ventricular tachycardia with wide QRS complexes. Troponin-I level was elevated to 100 ng/ml. The coronary angiogram showed good patency of all three coronary vessels, and acute fulminant myocarditis was suspected. The patient underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the catheter room and high-dose inotropic support was initiated to stabilise his haemodynamic status. After resuscitation, the patient was in a coma and acute stroke was highly suspected. ...
