Abstract Mild encephalitis/encephalopathy with a reversible splenial lesion (MERS) is a clinicoradiological syndrome characterized by transient mild encephalopathy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of a reversible lesion in the splenium of the corpus callosum (SCC).
