Single-center experience of 105-minimalistc transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve replacement and its outcome
CONCLUSION: Minimalist, conscious sedation, transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve replacement when done following a standard protocol is safe and effective.PMID:34154746 | PMC:PMC8322745 | DOI:10.1016/j.ihj.2021.01.023

Early Hemodynamic Changes and Long-Term Outcome Of Patients With Severe Low Gradient Aortic Stenosis After Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement.
CONCLUSIONS: NFLG-AS was the most prevalent form of LG severe AS and was associated with adequate left ventricular compensation and good prognosis. On the other hand, CLFLG-AS represents the heart-failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) form of AS and was associated with the worst prognosis, whereas PLFLG-AS represents the heart-failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) form of AS with intermediary prognosis. Both groups showed early hemodynamic reverse response after TAVR. PMID: 31566569 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

In ‐hospital outcomes of transcatheter versus surgical aortic valve replacement in non‐teaching hospitals
ConclusionsTAVR conferred similar in ‐hospital mortality and major peri‐procedural complications compared with SAVR in non‐teaching hospitals. For those with limited access to teaching hospitals, non‐teaching hospitals appear to be a reasonable option for candidates of aortic valve replacement for severe aortic stenosis.

Supra ‐annular structure assessment for self‐expanding transcatheter heart valve size selection in patients with bicuspid aortic valve
ConclusionsA supra‐annular structure based sizing strategy is feasible for TAVR in patients with bicuspid AS.

Transcatheter versus surgical aortic valve replacement in patients at low surgical risk: A meta ‐analysis of randomized trials and propensity score matched observational studies
ConclusionsIn patients who are at low surgical risk, TAVR seems to be associated with increased mortality risk. Until more data in this population is available, SAVR should remain the treatment of choice for these patients.
