Clinical value of echocardiography in evaluating hemodynamics and right ventricular function in patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension after balloon pulmonary angioplasty
CONCLUSIONS: The findings show that a single BPA procedure significantly improves RV volume load and reduces the pulmonary blood pressure in CTEPH patients in the short-term. However, BPA does not improve RV systolic function 24 hours after the procedure. Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is frequently associated with comorbidities that include metabolic, cardiovascular, renal, pulmonary and neuropsychiatric. There is considerable evidence that OSA is an independent risk factor for many of these comorbidities but, more recently, there is evidence that some of these comorbidities may predispose to the development of OSA. Prevalence of Cardiometabolic Disease in the Greek Sleep Apnea Patients Cohort
Conclusions: We conclude that cardiometabolic disease was very prevalent in our SAP with moderate-severe sleep apnea. Our population consisted mainly of male, obese, middle aged patients. It is of grate interest the high percentage of comorbidities, especially that of arrythmias. Further analysis is needed, in order to identify different phenotypes and the subsequent personalized therapeutic approach.

Controversies over the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
This study is a retrospective analysis of our PAH patients treated in 2020 compared to the dynamics of the last 12 years. We had 48 PAH patients, 51.72±16.64 years, 72.91% female. All patients had chronic anticoagulant therapy(58.33%) and/or antiplatelet; 33.33% had long term oxygen therapy. Three patients with secondary forms were confirmed with COVID-19, all hospitalized (6.25% infection rate versus 3.29% in general).
