The study of serum C-reactive protein, Serum cystatin C, and carbohydrate antigen 125 in patients with acute ischemic stroke
Cell Mol Biol (Noisy-le-grand). 2022 May 31;68(5):89-95. doi: 10.14715/cmb/2022.68.5.12.ABSTRACTStroke is the most common, deadly, and complicating neurological disease. Many studies have shown that the levels of some acute inflammatory reactants in people with ischemic stroke are higher than average. Therefore, in this study, three acute inflammatory reactants, i.e., C-reactive protein, Serum cystatin C, and carbohydrate antigen 125, were evaluated in patients with acute ischemic stroke to consider the association between these serums with intra and extra-cerebral vessels stenosis. In this cross-sectional study, 90 patien...

Consistencies and Differences in Intermediate Physiological Phenotypes of Vascular Ageing between Ischaemic Stroke Aetiologies
Conclusions: Intermediate cardiovascular phenotypes of vascular ageing had similar demographic associations between stroke aetiologies, but these were particularly strong in patients with small vessel stroke under the age of 65, implying a potential role of these phenotypes in increasing stroke risk in this patient group.Cerebrovasc Dis

Relevance of Carotid Reocclusion in Tandem Lesions
CONCLUSIONS: CRO has a relevant clinical impact in our study, associating lower rates of good functional outcomes at 3 months. Independent factors of CRO were the recanalization degree, presence of pial collateral circulation, use of a stent as a protective factor, and use of general anesthesia during thrombectomy.PMID:35989291 | DOI:10.5551/jat.63560
