Reference Ranges for Body Composition Indices by Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry from the Bone Mineral Density in Childhood Study Cohort
CONCLUSIONS: These reference ranges add to sparse normative data regarding body composition in children and adolescents, and are based on a cohort with an obesity prevalence similar to current BMI charts. Limited number of spine surgeons among recipients of National Institutes of Health grants awarded for degenerative spine disease research
CONCLUSIONS: Few spine surgeons receive NIH grants for degenerative spine disease research. Future opportunities may exist for spine surgeons to collaborate in identified areas of clinical interest.
