Intracranial varix of the transverse-sigmoid dural arteriovenous fistula mimicking a ruptured middle cerebral artery aneurysm: A case report

E-108 Ruptured intracranial aneurysm presenting as isolated acute subdural hemorrhage
ConclusionIn rare cases, ruptured intracranial aneurysms can be associated with isolated subdural hemorrhage. Common treatment options include endovascular coiling and microsurgical clipping. However, endovascular repair is often preferred especially when the patient may not be able to tolerate a surgical procedure, as was the case with this patient. In this case, the patient presented with stroke-like symptoms and was found to have a subdural hemorrhage. Cerebrovascular complications and granuloma formation after wrapping or coating of intracranial aneurysms with cotton gauze and human fibrin adhesives: results from a single-center patient series over a 5-year period.
Conclusions These data should add to the awareness of significant cerebrovascular complications following wrapping or coating of IAs with cotton gauze and human fibrin adhesives and indicate that major ischemic strokes need to be included in the risk/benefit considerations during decision making for such treatment strategies. Conclusions Although fungal mycotic aneurysms of the ICA are rare, their incidence may increase with the expanded use of immunosuppressive medications. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis who take potent immunosuppression regimens may be prime candidates for mycotic aneurysms because they often have two favoring conditions: atherosclerosis and immunosuppression. Malignant Middle Cerebral Artery Infarction Resulting from Dissection of Middle Cerebral Artery
A 30-year-old man presented with headache, left hemiparesis, and uncal herniation. Magnetic resonance imaging showed acute infarction in the right middle cerebral artery (MCA). Lifesaving craniotomy proceeded because of the uncal herniation. Assessment of brain tissue led to a diagnosis of MCA dissection. His skin biopsy showed ultrastructural abnormalities of dermal connective tissue. This is the unique case that dissection was diagnosed from both a biopsy specimen of the MCA and the dermal connective tissue.

We present the case of a boy with cPACNS that previously suffered an ischemic stroke. At the age of 7 years and 10 months, he presented a sudden and severe headache, vomiting and reduction in consciousness level (Glasgow coma scale 7), requiring prompt tracheal intubation.
