Based on voxel-based morphological analysis to investigate the effect of acupuncture-rehabilitation therapy on hippocampal volume and its neuroprotective mechanism in patients with vascular cognitive impairment with type 2 diabetes mellitus: A study protocol
Discussion: This trial can clarify the effect of acupuncture-rehabilitation therapy on hippocampal volume and its intervention mechanism on oxidative stress injury in VCI patients with T2DM, and clarify the scientific connotation of its neuroprotective mechanism in the VCI patients with T2DM, in order to provide a theoretical basis for the clinical application of acupuncture-rehabilitation therapy in the treatment of VCI. Incidence and risk factors of leukoaraiosis from 4683 hospitalized patients: A cross-sectional study
This study revealed that the incidence of LA is high in hospitalized patients in China; moreover, age, sex, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, smoking, drinking, and abnormal HCY and LDL-C levels were found to be associated with overall LA risk, LA onset, or LA progression. These results provide insight into strategies for the prevention and treatment of LA.

Prevalence and impact of carotid disease in adult Saudi patients undergoing isolated coronary artery bypass surgery on early postoperative outcome
The aim of the study is to assess the prevalence of carotid disease in our Saudi population undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery and to determine its impact on stroke and early postoperative outcome.
