CYP2C19 Loss-of-Function Variants Associated with Long-term Ischemic Stroke Events During Clopidogrel Treatment in the Chinese Population
This study aims to determine whether CYP2C19 loss-of-function (LoF) variants were associated with long-term ischemic stroke risk in Chinese primary care patients treated with clopidogrel. Patients treated with clopidogrel were ascertained from a Chinese Electronic Medical Record linked with biobank for a retrospective cohort study. Conclusion: Based on this meta-analysis, we found that in the treatment of T2DM patients with CAS, combined with CHM may have more advantages than WM alone, which can further reduce CIMT and carotid plaque Crouse score, regulate glucose and lipid metabolism, improve insulin resistance and enhance islet β-cell function. Meanwhile, CHM is relatively safe. However, limited by the quality and heterogeneity of included studies, the efficacy and safety of CHM remain uncertain. Conclusion In summary, SSS extraction significantly ameliorates cerebral energy metabolism via boosting citrate cycle, which mainly embodies the enhancements of blood glucose concentration, glucose and lactate transportation and glucose utilization, as well as the regulations of relative enzymes activities in citrate cycle.
