MiR-125b-5p up-regulation in asthma and COPD overlap patients mediates oxidative stress and apoptosis via targeting IL6R/NLRC5/TRIAP1
Conclusions: MiR-125b-5p is up-regulated in ACO patients, and may cause oxidative stress and cell apoptosis through targeting IL6R, NLRC5, TRIAP1 genes.

Identify Bcl3 as a novel biomarker shared between severe asthma and lung cancer using next-generation RNA sequencing from archival FFPE tissue biopsies
Conclusion: Our findings indicate a Bcl3 a novel putative biomarker in pathogeneses of both severe asthma and lung cancer.

Screening and verification of differentially expressed genes for airway remodeling in asthma
Conclusion: The expression of CTSK may related to the airway remodeling of asthma by up-regulating the TGF-β1 expression in BECs.

Exogenous HSP70 regulates the expression of glucocorticoid receptor in a cell type-specific manner
Conclusion: Exogenous HSP70 increases the expression of GR in EC in a cell type-specific manner. Such effect suggests that EC have an increased sensitivity towards steroids. As EC require cortisol for their recovery from stress, for proliferation, and for differentiation, these data could explain the fast recovery of the epithelium after thermoplasty, as well as the clinically observed reduced need of steroids after thermoplasty.

IL-24 Contributes to Neutrophilic Asthma in an IL-17A-Dependent Manner and Is Suppressed by IL-37
CONCLUSIONS: IL-24 aggravated neutrophilic airway inflammation by increasing epithelium-derived IL-17A production, which could be suppressed by IL-37. Targeting the IL-24/IL-17A signaling axis is a potential strategy, and IL-37 is a potential candidate agent for alleviating neutrophilic airway inflammation in asthma.PMID:36174993 | DOI:10.4168/aair.2022.14.5.505
