Influence of ultra-endurance exercise on alveolar-capillary recruitment and lung diffusion
Conclusion: The data suggest a transient decrease in DLco following ultraendurance exercise is related to pulmonary de-recruitment; however, alveolar-capillary recruitment during low-intensity exercise remains relatively preserved.
