Management of Recurrent Retroperitoneal Sarcoma
Curr Oncol. 2023 Feb 25;30(3):2761-2769. doi: 10.3390/curroncol30030209.ABSTRACTRecurrence after resection of retroperitoneal sarcoma is common and varies by histological subtype. Pattern of recurrence is similarly affected by histology (e.g., well-differentiated liposarcoma is more likely to recur locoregionally, whereas leiomyosarcoma is more likely to develop distant metastases). Radiotherapy may provide effective locoregional control in limited circumstances and the data on the impact of chemotherapy are scant. Surgery for locally recurrent disease is associated with the greatest survival benefit; however, data are ret...

The Characteristics of magnetic resonance imaging and immunohistochemical findings in de-differentiated liposarcoma
CONCLUSIONS: DDLPS without fatty components on MRI scans was mostly found. We recommend IHC staining to screen for DDLPS even if the tumors in STS cases have a non-fatty component.PMID:36728750 | DOI:10.1177/10225536231151519

Radiological progression of extremity soft tissue sarcoma following preoperative radiotherapy predicts for poor survival
CONCLUSION: STS that enlarge according to RECIST criteria following preoperative radiotherapy identify a high risk group of patients with worse systemic outcomes but equivalent local control.ADVANCES IN KNOWLEDGE: Post radiation therapy, STS enlargement may identify patients with potential for worse systemic outcomes but equivalent local control. Therefore, adjunct therapeutic approaches could be considered in these patients.PMID:34826230 | DOI:10.1259/bjr.20210936

Radiological progression of extremity soft tissue sarcoma following pre-operative radiotherapy predicts for poor survival
CONCLUSION: STS that enlarge according to Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumour criteria following pre-operative radiotherapy identify a high risk group of patients with worse systemic outcomes but equivalent local control.ADVANCES IN KNOWLEDGE: Post-radiation therapy, STS enlargement may identify patients with potential for worse systemic outcomes but equivalent local control. Therefore, adjunct therapeutic approaches could be considered in these patients.PMID:34826230 | DOI:10.1259/bjr.20210936

Off Clamping Laparoscopic Resection of An Extreme Rare Renal Mesenchymal Tumor: An Angiomyolipoma of Renal Capsule
CONCLUSION: In our experience, the rapid growth mass that is accompanied by pain draws the attention to malignant process. The renal AML rarely arise from renal capsule without characteristic images so having high doubt may lead to pre-operative diagnosis.PMID:34247361 | DOI:10.22037/uj.v18i.6512
