Socioeconomic and geographic disparities of breast cancer incidence according to stage at diagnosis in France
CONCLUSION: Although advanced BC was more frequent in women living in deprived and rural areas, SB did not influence advanced BC incidence. Therefore, differences observed in overall BC incidence according to SB were only due to higher incidence of early BC in affluent and urban areas. Future research should confirm these results in other French areas.PMID:37697113 | DOI:10.1007/s10552-023-01779-8

Real-World Impact of Adjuvant Anti-HER2 Treatment on Characteristics and Outcomes of Women With HER2-Positive Metastatic Breast Cancer in the ESME Program
CONCLUSIONS: Among patients with relapsed HER2+ MBC, the receipt of adjuvant trastuzumab did not independently predict for worse outcomes when adjusted to other prognostic factors.PMID:37589218 | DOI:10.1093/oncolo/oyad137

Pathologic complete response and survival in HER2-low and HER2-zero early breast cancer treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy
CONCLUSIONS: In eBC patients treated with NAC, taking into account HR expression subtype and other current clinicopathological features, HER2-low tumors did not appear to have different chemosensitivity or prognosis, compared to their HER2-0 counterparts.PMID:37561255 | DOI:10.1007/s12282-023-01490-1

Five-fraction radiotherapy for breast cancer
Cancer Radiother. 2023 Aug 1:S1278-3218(23)00146-4. doi: 10.1016/j.canrad.2023.07.004. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTExtreme hypofractionation in adjuvant breast radiotherapy currently generates a lot of interest. We propose here a synthesis of hypofractionation trials and present the DESTHE COL and DESTHE GR projects, encouraged by the French National Cancer Institute (INCa), which experiment care pathways in order to deploy effective strategies to de-escalate the therapeutics and to reduce sequelae after cancer treatment.PMID:37537026 | DOI:10.1016/j.canrad.2023.07.004

Optimization of an Information Leaflet to Influence Medication Beliefs in Women With Breast Cancer: A Randomized Factorial Experiment
CONCLUSIONS: The optimized leaflet did not contain enhanced AET side effect information. Factorial experiments are efficient and effective for refining the content of information leaflet interventions.PMID:37494669 | DOI:10.1093/abm/kaad037
