Habitual flavonoid intake and ischemic stroke incidence in the Danish Diet, Cancer, and Health Cohort

Dietary isoflavones, urinary isoflavonoids, and risk of ischemic stroke in women.

Habitual intake of anthocyanins and flavanones and risk of cardiovascular disease in men.
CONCLUSIONS: Higher intakes of fruit-based flavonoids were associated with a lower risk of nonfatal MI and ischemic stroke in men. Mechanistic studies and clinical trials are needed to unravel the differential benefits of anthocyanin- and flavanone-rich foods on cardiovascular health. Multivitamin use and cardiovascular disease in a prospective study of women.
CONCLUSIONS: In this study of middle-aged and elderly women, neither baseline nor time-varying multivitamin use was associated with the long-term risk of major CVD events, MI, stroke, cardiac revascularizations, or CVD death. Genetic susceptibility, plant-based dietary patterns, and risk of cardiovascular disease.

A prospective study of waist circumference trajectories and incident cardiovascular disease in China: the Kailuan Cohort Study.
