Pregnancy Outcomes in Patients After Completion of the mRNA Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Vaccination Series Compared With Unvaccinated Patients
CONCLUSION: In a large retrospective cohort study, receipt of the primary mRNA COVID-19 vaccination series was associated with a lower rate of several adverse pregnancy outcomes, including perinatal death, preterm delivery, neonates with very low birth weight, and NICU admission. Although the decreased rates of perinatal death did not remain significant after propensity score matching, there was evidence of directional benefit for vaccinated patients.PMID:36735413 | DOI:10.1097/AOG.0000000000005072

Lessons Learned from Health Disparities in Coronavirus Disease-2019 in the United States
In the United States, the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has disproportionally affected Black, Latinx, and Indigenous populations, immigrants, and economically disadvantaged individuals. Mistrust in the health care system, language barriers, and limited health literacy have hindered vaccination rates in minorities, further exacerbating health disparities rooted in structural, institutional, and so...
