Machine learning-based scoring system to predict in-hospital outcomes in patients hospitalized with COVID-19
CONCLUSIONS: The CCF risk score was built using data collected routinely at hospital admission to predict outcomes in patients with COVID-19. This score holds promise to improve early triage of patients and allocation of healthcare resources.PMID:36376208 | PMC:PMC9595484 | DOI:10.1016/j.acvd.2022.08.003

Safety profile of the lopinavir/ritonavir combination before and during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic
CONCLUSIONS: This different safety profile may be related to the effect of the virus on the organs, the patient profile (age, medical history…) and the drugs associated with lopinavir/ritonavir. Our study should serve as a reminder that the safety profile of a drug can depend on its use. Spontaneous reporting and pharmacovigilance have a critical role in alerting health professionals to "new" ADRs reported with well-known drugs.PMID:36376122 | PMC:PMC9618454 | DOI:10.1016/j.therap.2022.10.066

Evaluation of the rapid implementation of telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic: a qualitative study among adolescents and their parents
AbstractThe Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic catalysed an abrupt explosion in the use telepsychiatry for the delivery of mental health services. We aimed to explore the experience of telemedicine use during this period among adolescent outpatients and inpatients and their parents. This qualitative study took place in a French adolescent medicine and psychiatry department during the first lockdown. Data collection by purposive sampling continued until we reached theoretical sufficiency. The interviews were analysed by applying Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis which is based on an iterative, inductive pro...
