The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director was mandated in P.L. 101-613 to establish the National Advisory Board on Medical Rehabilitation Research (NABMRR). The Board advises the Directors of NIH, the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), and the National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR) on matters and policies relating to NCMRR's programs.
