Low-cost to publish journals
Some medical students and myself did a pretty interesting case report on a transgender pt not treating their PCOS to help transition. We are looking to publish, but everything is dam expensive, like $1000 dollar to publish. What are some cheaper options? We are looking at Cureus. Anything else? Will the APA resident journal publish a case report? Also other just general helpful tips to helping get published would be appreciated. Thank you everybody. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Seeking advice for undergrad and med school journey
Hi! So I recently realized I would like to pursue a career in Reproductive Endocrinology. I've actually always had interest in family planning, woman's health and hormonal changes and I myself have been diagnosed with PCOS. I'd like advice on the best route to achieving that goal. I.E. what should I study, which programs should I look for interning opportunities, what routes would I take in residency to stay relevant to the field I'm interested in? WIll it actually help reduce testosterone levels to normal? Is there something that is additionally prescribed for hirsutism, or OCP alone should do the trick with excessive hair? are there certain brands of OCP that are specifically preferred for that? And... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Could I have CF?
I've had what has been diagnosed as horrible allergies my entire life. My nose is completely clogged 365 days a year, to the point where I basically can't breathe through it. What's worse is I have this horrible post nasal drip. It's so thick and copious that I feel like I am constantly choking. I'm coughing and sniffling literally every second of every day. Although I do exercise, I have a hard time breathing when I run. I often feel like I can't breathe deeply enough. I feel like I constantly have a sinus infection, I've had probably 2-3 a year for as long as I can remember. I've had my lung capacity tested before to see...
