Failed Pre-Employment Drug Screen Influence on Med School Application
Hi everyone, I would need some input on this since I can find no information online. So I failed the pre-employment drug screen for Michigan Medicine due to micro-dose THC (though I'm prescribed Marijuana for PTSD-associated night terrors and sleepwalking) which was expected since the hospital is federally funded. The agency was HireRight and my screen would last for 1 year aka I can be employed a year later if I pass the drug screen then. I don't know if it is true and wonder if there... The match/soap
I just wanted to say... I feel like I’ve drank 10 cups of coffee and cannot sleep despite its 3 am. In 6 hours,... the MS4’s will know if they matched or not. Despite that I have prepared my soul for scrambling - I still have the jitters and been having nightmares. Just had to throw it out there. Social Anxiety and awkwardness making MS3 a nightmare?
I am half way through my surgery rotation and I am struggling like hell. I am the student who is usually quiet, and fumbles with instruments. My nervousness for the next day makes it impossible for me to study or sleep at a decent time and I end up looking even dumber. I constantly drink alcohol almost every night just to make these feelings go away. I am OKAY at communicating, I just tend to be very monotone and kind of dry, and I just get really quiet and stutter my words in group... Social Anxiety and awkwardness making MS3 a nightmare? Sad because I overslept and missed first Chem 2 test
Today feels like a nightmare for me. I am pre med student and I am really sad because I overslept and missed my first Chem 2 test. I stayed up until 4 am to study and decided I would sleep for 2 hours and wake up at 6 am. I thought I put my alarm on on my Iphone. The test was supposed to begin at 8 am. So I eventually wake up like 20 minutes after 8. After I realized that I overslept, I quickly put something on and washed my face. I, then left to go to class. I eventually get to class at... MPH Fall 2016: Applied, Accepted, Waitlisted, Rejected!
Hi, everyone! To my surprise, nobody has created an MPH Fall 2016 thread yet! I joined this site just to start one because I think they were valuable resources to applicants in previous years. So, let the fun, anxiety & night terrors begin! Best of luck to you all, entering class of 2016!!!! I'm copying stuff over from previous years because I lack originality (and why invent the wheel twice?) And let's try keep this strictly about the application process for simplification. If information... MPH Fall 2016: Applied, Accepted, Waitlisted, Rejected! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

new need opinions
Let me start from the beginning.Last December my daughter was diagnosed with malabsorpation. She was 10lbs at 7 months old. We seen a gastric specialist. Changed diet etc. She gained weight and doctors were happy. When she turned a year old in may we discovered she is lactose intolerant. It progressively got worse until 3 months ago. The middle of October my daughter formed a nasty cough and runny nose. Doctors told me it was viral.for a month my daughter would cough so bad at night it would make her sick, keep her awake. She would scream in her sleep. (Not night terrors) finally I got fed up. My daughter was suffering. I...
