The use of radiotherapy, surgery and chemotherapy in the curative treatment of cancer: results from the FORTY (Favourable Outcomes from RadioTherapY) project
CONCLUSIONS: The high proportion receiving multi modality treatment emphasises the importance of integrated, resourced, multidisciplinary cancer care. Radiotherapy was delivered to almost 40% of patients who survived 5 years which underlines its importance in cancer management.ADVANCES IN KNOWLEDGE: The results are essential in planning cancer services. They also inform the public health narrative.PMID:37807934 | DOI:10.1259/bjr.20230334 (Source: The British Journal of Radiology)

CT and MR imaging of patients with a dilated right ventricle due to congenital causes and their treatment
Br J Radiol. 2023 Oct 9:20230484. doi: 10.1259/bjr.20230484. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTA variety of both acquired and congenital conditions can significantly affect the right ventricle, with a variety of potential origins that can have substantial clinical ramifications. These conditions can range from the impact of diseases like pulmonary arterial hypertension and ischemic heart disease to valvular deficiencies resulting in heart failure. Moreover, the right ventricle response to factors like abnormal loading conditions, and its subsequent clinical effects, are influenced by factors such as age, disease progression, p...
