Prehospital stroke care in Singapore
Singapore Med J. 2024 Mar 6. doi: 10.4103/singaporemedj.SMJ-2023-066. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDue to the narrow window of opportunity for stroke therapeutics to be employed, effectiveness of stroke care systems is predicated on the efficiency of prehospital stroke systems. Use of wearable technology in cardiac monitoring after cryptogenic stroke or embolic stroke of undetermined source: a systematic review
CONCLUSION: Wearable devices that are ECG or PPG based are effective for paroxysmal AF detection after cryptogenic stroke and ESUS, but further studies are needed to establish how they compare with Holter monitors and implantable loop recorder.PMID:38449074 | DOI:10.4103/singaporemedj.SMJ-2022-143 (Source: Singapore Medical Journal)
