Improving outcomes of surgery for acute type A aortic dissection
Conclusions. Early outcomes after ATAAD improved in the most recent experience. Part of the explanation may be fewer surgeons performing more procedures annually, a relatively conservative approach to the extent of aortic resection and ensuring adequate cerebral protection. Major complications remain prevalent and require attention to be further reduced.PMID:37209043 | DOI:10.1080/14017431.2023.2210275 (Source: Scandinavian Cardiovascular Journal)

Outcomes in patients with chest pain in emergency departments using high-sensitivity versus conventional troponins
Conclusions. Patients with chest pain visiting EDs using hs-cTnT had lower mortality and a higher likelihood of undergoing coronary angiographies and revascularizations than those using cTn. There may be a survival benefit of being tested with hs-cTnT compared with cTn in patients seeking medical attention for chest pain.PMID:37160719 | DOI:10.1080/14017431.2023.2190546 (Source: Scandinavian Cardiovascular Journal)
