Maximum Yukawa Couplings for WIMP Majorana Dark Matter in Scotogenic Model
AbstractIn the context of the Scotogenic model, we have investigated for the largest possible Yukawa couplings without inducing large charged lepton flavor violations (CLFVs). The electro-weak symmetry breaking (EWSB) mass scale inert, and the lightest Majorana fermion is identified as the dark matter field and generated neutrino mass radiatively along with the TeV scale inert scalars. A generalized parameterization has been proposed to obtain the maximum Yukawa couplings while satisfying neutrino mass and mixing, dark matter relic density (DM RD), the conversion rate of leptons in nuclei (CR), and CLFV bounds simultaneous...

Shift of the Proton Drip Line by Λ-Hyperons
AbstractAddition of a Λ-hyperon to non-strange nuclei can lead to an increase in the binding energy and formation of a bound hypernucleus with an unbound nucleon core, effectively leading to the shift of the proton drip line on the hypernuclear chart. The structure of light proton-rich Λ-hypernuclei with 5 ≤Z≤ 12 is treated within the Hartree–Fock approach with effective potentials in the Skyrme form. We show that nuclei8C and16F are most likely can be bound by a hyperon. (Source: Physics of Particles and Nuclei Letters)

Sorption of Zirconium on Quartz
AbstractThe issue of disposal of zirconium containing radioactive waste has not yet been resolved. The safety of storage and disposal facilities is defined by the migration ability of radionuclides. One of the main factors determining the behavior of metal cations in the environment is sorption on minerals. This is the study of zirconium sorption on quartz as one of the major natural mineral. Sorption mechanisms and its quantitative characteristics have been investigated by experimental methods and calculations with DFT. Data on the sorption of zirconium on quartz have been obtained for the first time and can be used for f...

Parallel Simulation of the Magnetic Moment Reversal within the φ0-Josephson Junction Model
AbstractPeriodic structure of the magnetization reversal domains is studied within the superconductor –ferromagnetic–superconductor φ0-junction model. The model is described by the Cauchy problem for the system of nonlinear ordinary equations which is numerically solved by means of the 2-step Gauss –Legendre method. Two versions of parallel implementation on the basis of MPI and OpenMP techniques have been developed. Efficiency of both versions is confirmed by test calculations. An effect of frequency of ferromagnetic resonance on the configuration MR domains has been investigated. The calcu lations have been perfor...

The Preparation of Nanocomposite with a Core –Shell Structure Made of Carbon Matrices and Lanthanum Nanoparticles
AbstractA method for synthesis of nanocomposite with core –shell structure made of carbon matrices and La nanoparticles for its subsequent approbation as contrast agent in radiological studies has been proposed. The synthesis includes three stages, consisting of (1) preparation of few-layer graphite fragments (graphite nanoflakes, GNF) as carbon matrix s upport, (2) preparation of La-containing composite by impregnation of GNF nanoparticles with lanthanum nitrate solution with subsequent annealing and (3) surface graphitization of obtained product. All samples were studied by transmission electron microscopy, Raman and X...

Deep Learning Applications for Traffic Sign Detection and Classification
AbstractThe paper addresses a new method proposed for detecting and identifying road infrastructure elements. The method can also be used for other image processing and analysis tasks. The method uses a YOLO-type single-stage visual detector to predict the coordinates of a certain number of bounding boxes with a MobileNet convolutional neural net used as a classifier. The tracking mechanism makes it possible to link the frames by assigning a unique number to every detected object. A large set of 160  000 traffic signs was used as the training data set for the model. A data flow architecture has been developed. The metric...

Power Supplies for the Corrective Electromagnets of the SRF SKIF Injection Complex
AbstractThe power supplies presented in this article are used as part of the charged particle beam orbit correction system of the injection complex at SRF SKIF. The MPS-20 and MPS-6 (magnetic power supply) and PA-3 (power amplifier) power suppliers presented in the paper can provide electromagnets with currents reaching ±20, ±6, and ±3 A, respectively. All power sources are remotely monitored and controlled via the Ethernet and are made using modern components according to the Euromechanics standard. Recent Progress in the VEPP-2000 Collider
AbstractThe VEPP-2000 is an electron –positron collider with round beams built and operating at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics (BINP). The collider luminosity was increased twofold last year. The integrated luminosity accumulated over the last year has exceeded 0.3 fb–1, which almost doubled the total data collected since the collider operation began. The short description of the VEPP-2000 complex, current status, and the results are presented in this work. (Source: Physics of Particles and Nuclei Letters)

Features of the Dynamics of Particles and Predicted Final Electrodynamic Characteristics of Short Accelerating Resonators in a Low-Energy Ion Accelerator
AbstractThe characteristics of short accelerating cavities based on the Interdigital H (IH) and SPlit Ring (SPR) structures used for low-energy ion acceleration are considered. It is shown that the expected final RF characteristics of cavities slightly differ, with a clear advantage of SPR in manufacturing and tuning technology. One general characteristic of these structures is an additional dipole component of the electric field on the beam axis, which inevitably leads to an additional increase in beam emittance upon acceleration. The main patterns of the motion of particles in the presence of a dipole component are formu...

NICA Beamlines and Stations for Applied Research
AbstractThe NICA accelerator complex includes beam transfer lines and stations for applied research. The first commissioning of the Station of Chip Irradiation (SOCHI) was performed at the end of 2021with С4+ heavy ions extracted from the linear accelerator (HILAC) at an energy of 3.2 MeV/n. The new SOCHI beam transfer line is integrated in the existing HILAC-Booster beamline. The Irradiation Setup for Components of Radioelectronic Apparatus (ISCRA) with ion energy ranging from 150 to 500 MeV/n and the Setup for Investigation of Medical Biological Objects (SIMBO) with the ion energy ranging from 400 to1100 MeV/n are based...

Slow Resonant Extraction from Ion Synchrotron for Technological Applications
AbstractSlow resonant extraction from the synchrotron makes it possible to provide relatively stable beams for a long time. The principle of slow extraction is intentionally exciting the third-order resonance by controlling detuning and sextupole strength with the gradual release of particles from inside to outside a stable separatrix. The Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics (BINP) develops the ion synchrotron for a wide range of technological applications. This paper describes slow resonant extraction from an ion synchrotron with betatron oscillation excitation by a transverse RF field. (Source: Physics of Particles and Nuclei Letters)
