NLO QCD Corrections to Higgs Boson Production in Association with Gauge Bosons in Proton –Proton Collisions at $$\sqrt s $$ = 14 TeV
AbstractWe suggest some predictions for Standard Model Higgs boson production in association with gauge bosons in proton-proton collisions at\(\sqrt s \) = 14 TeV. Our calculation includes the NLO QCD corrections of these processes using the MadGraph5\(\_\)aMC@NLO event generator. We study the impact of these corrections on the total cross sections and on various kinematical distributions. (Source: Physics of Particles and Nuclei Letters)

Evaluation of Effective Parameters on a Simple Muon Detector Efficiency Using GEANT4 Monte Carlo Model
AbstractMuons are detected due to the Cherenkov radiation of electrons caused by muon decay. Different parameters can affect the efficiency of the muon Cherenkov detector. In this paper, a simple water Cherenkov detector was simulated using Geant4 Monte Carlo code. Then, the performance of Cherenkov detector was evaluated using considering of effect of some parameters such as the number of PMTs, the height of the detector, and the reflector effect. The information such as mean lifetime of muon, electron energy spectrum of muon decay, and detector efficiency was measured. The mean relative error indicates good agreement bet...

NLO QCD Corrections to the Processes pp → ZZ with 0, 1, and 2 Jets at the LHC
AbstractWe propose an implementation ofZZ,ZZj andZZjj productions in MadGraph5_aMC@NLO framework at\(\sqrt s = 14\) TeV. We calculate these processes at leading order and next-to-leading order with QCD corrections and we present a theoretical prediction of their total cross sections with different cuts in transverse momentum of jets, including gluon fusion contributions. In the same time we estimate their theoretical uncertainty. We discuss the various kinematical distributions spectrums at partonic and hadronic levels applying the showering and hadronization using Pythia8. In order to reconstruct the events similar to tha...

Timelike and Spacelike Vectors Transform into Null Vectors through Local Gauge Transformations
AbstractThrough a series of papers many results in group theory have been proven. These results establish a direct link between the local gauge groups of transformations of the Standard Model and local groups of transformations of a new kind of tetrad vectors in four-dimensional Lorentzian spacetimes. These links between these two sets of local groups of transformations are isomorphisms. Because the local planes of covariant diagonalization of stress-energy tensors in Yang –Mills theories have been proven to be the local planes of gauge symmetry, simultaneously. It is in this context that we wish to establish a new kind ...

Total Capture Rate of Negative Muons in 24Mg
AbstractA description of an experiment devoted to determining the total capture rates of negative muons in24Mg is presented. The investigations are carried out using a low-energy muon beam with high intensity (104 s–1) at the S μS meson facility in Villigen, Switzerland, with the help of the mini-Ball cluster of HPGe detectors. The experimental approach based on our previous works is described. The justification of the difference between these methods and those used in previous investigations is presented. It is pointed o ut that our method is potentially much more precise and does not depend on the muon absorption in t...

Unique Radioprotective Damage Suppressor Protein (Dsup): Comparative Sequence Analysis
AbstractTardigrades are one of the most stress-resistant complex organisms on the Earth, of particular interest is their high radioresistance. The protein Dsup (Damage suppressor) recently discovered inR.  varieornatus is directly related to a decrease of the level of nuclear DNA damage by ionizing radiation; however, the mechanism of this process is not fully understood. To better understand the function and origin of the Dsup protein, a comparative analysis of the amino acid sequence of this protein with the amino acid sequences of proteins in open databases was carried out. We showed that other DNA-binding proteins of ...
