Comparative Analysis of Pulse Sequence Scenarios of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Human Brain
AbstractImpact of the variation of the parameters of the RF pulse sequence scenario of an MR tomograph is studied using a 3D model of the human brain. The model developed is based on mathematical processing of the output experimental data of nuclear magnetic resonance imaging. An algorithm for comparative analysis of 3D models obtained for the same tested person using different modes of the MR tomograph operation has been developed. The software implementation of the algorithm has been implemented as a service of the “Neuroimaging” system of the “Digital Laboratory” of the National Research Center “Kurchatov Inst...

Quantum Interference Effects on Charge Transport in Molecular Electronic Junctions
AbstractThe technological application of nanoscale functional elements made of individual molecules is a promising approach towards the miniaturization of electronic devices. In particular, there is a potential for exploiting quantum interference effects in controlling the charge transport in these molecular-scale devices. The work is aimed at developing a particular example of a single-molecule transistor and explaining how the intrinsic chemical structure of a molecular complex used, the features of its electronic properties, and the geometry of its connection with metal electrodes may affect the efficiency of electronic...

The Deuteron Charge Radius RC in the Framework of the Hard-Wall AdS/QCD Model
We present basic elements of the hard-wall model, write metric for the AdS space. We introduce a vector field with twist\(\tau = 6\) describing deuteron in the bulk of AdS space and other vector field to describe photon respectively, write an effective action for the bulk fields interactions, find a\({{G}_{1}}({{Q}^{2}})\),\({{G}_{2}}({{Q}^{2}})\) and\({{G}_{3}}({{Q}^{2}})\) form factors, then quadrupole\({{G}_{{\text{Q}}}}({{Q}^{2}})\) and charge\({{G}_{{\text{C}}}}({{Q}^{2}})\) form-factors of a deuteron. Thus, from the charge\({{G}_{{\text{C}}}}({{Q}^{2}})\) form-factor we find the deuteron charge radius\({{R}_{{\text{C...

Light-Like Paths of Weakly Relativistic Anyon in Magnetic Field
AbstractWe consider the light-like trajectories of massive weakly relativistic anyon travelling in a uniform stationary magnetic field. We show that the world paths of classical particle are helical lines with the light-like tangent vector. The configuration of magnetic field determines the equations of motion for the symmetry axis of helix, while the step of the helix is determined by spin. The deviation of the particle path from smooth propagation is explained by the zitterbewegung phenomenon. We explicitly find the cyclotron frequency, and it is shown to be spin-dependent, even though spin has no physical degrees of fre...

Application of Adaptive and Non-Adaptive Integration Methods to the Two-Photon Decay of a Neutral Pion at Finite Temperature
AbstractComputation of the\({{\pi }^{0}} \to \gamma \gamma \) decay width at high temperatures in the framework of the Nambu –Jona–Lasinio model requires the calculation of an integral with singularity\({1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 {(x - c)}}} \right. \kern-0em} {(x - c)}}\). To solve the problem, the most suitable method must be found that can effectively bypass the singularity and allow obtaining an answer with minimal error and a high computation speed. In this work were considered non-adaptive and adaptive methods based on the Gauss –Kronrod quadrature formula and the Monte Carlo integration method. As a resu...

Muon Production in Elastic Proton-Proton Scattering
AbstractElastic part of the\(pp \to pp(\gamma \gamma ) \to pp{{\mu }^{ + }}{{\mu }^{ - }}\) scattering cross section is calculated. Analytical formulas are obtained in the spiral amplitude approximation. Differential cross section with the experimental cuts is integrated numerically. Spin Nature of the Energy Gap in Superconductors of the Second Kind
AbstractThis paper presents a model for determining the second critical field of superconductors, obtained on the basis of changes in the spin basis states of a system of two particles with spin 1/2 in a magnetic field. The obtained critical field estimate is consistent with experimental data for superconducting alloys, some metallic compounds, nitrides and Laves phases, fullerides and other superconducting compounds. REST API and Web Interface for the Event Metadata System of the BM@N Experiment
AbstractThe Event Metadata System (EMS) developed for BM@N, a fixed target experiment of the NICA (Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility) project has been designed to store and index event records for particle collisions obtained at the BM@N facility and subsequently reconstructed. The system enables to quickly search for a required set of physics events based on various given criteria for further physics analyses. The main implemented interfaces to the EMS include Web UI (user interface) and REST API (application programming interface), that are presented in the paper in detail. The both interfaces have its own main use p...
