The Effects of Resistance Exercises on Secondary Lymphedema Due to Treatment of Breast Cancer: A Review of Current Literature
Conclusion: After reviewing current literature, it can be concluded that resistance exercise paired with CDT may be beneficial for patients post–breast cancer treatment. In high-frequency groups, a statistically significant difference was seen in lymphedema reduction compared with control groups. Even if lymphedema was not reduced, many patients still experienced other benefits of resistance exercises such as increased strength and increased quality-of-life scores. Movement-Related Urinary Urgency: A Theoretical Framework and Retrospective, Cross-sectional Study
Conclusion: The prevalence of spine or hip movement diagnoses in patients with urinary urgency was high (48.0%). A significant relationship was found between the presence of spine/hip movement diagnoses and pelvic floor muscle diagnoses (χ2 [1, N = 225] = 42.27, P = .000). Standard evaluation for patients with urinary urgency should include movement testing of spine and hip, with symptom monitoring of urinary urgency during examination. Quality-of-Life Outcomes Following Surface Electromyography Biofeedback as an Adjunct to Pelvic Floor Muscle Training for Urinary Incontinence: A Case Report
Discussion: The outcomes from this case report present a brief course of PT consisting of perineal sEMG biofeedback in conjunction with PFM training that demonstrated clinically meaningful improvements in incontinence-related QOL, in addition to improvements in motor function in a woman with mixed UI and nocturia. Physical Therapy Management of Thoracic Pain, Lumbar Pain, and Vasovagal Response During Pregnancy
Discussion: Following a course of physical therapy, the patient demonstrated improved postural awareness, symmetry in the pelvis and ribcage, and proper body mechanics. She was independent with early identification of potential triggers and with prophylactic management of symptoms of vasovagal response. With the assistance of her partner, she was independent with self-management techniques for her pain symptoms. At the final session, she was pain-free in the lumbar and thoracic regions, and had no recurrence of vasovagal symptoms. (Source: Journal of Women’s Health Physical Therapy)

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy in the Treatment of a Patient With Interstitial Cystitis, Dyspareunia, and Low Back Pain: A Case Report
Discussion: The diagnosis of IC is often accompanied by other associated pelvic floor conditions. A combination of pelvic floor physical therapy and orthopedic techniques may be necessary to relive urinary frequency and urgency, nocturia, bladder pain, dyspareunia, and low back pain in complex patients with IC. A Case Report Describing Multiple System Effects of Breast Cancer, Bilateral Mastectomy, and Reconstruction: Implications for Physical Therapist Practice
Discussion: A physical therapist must consider the linkage between past breast cancer–related intervention, presenting symptoms, and information related to anatomical and biomechanical alterations and disease- and intervention-related side effects in developing a safe and effective physical therapy plan of care. Physical Therapy Management of Sacroiliac Pain and Dyspareunia: A Case Report
Discussion: This case report describes how available literature, client preferences, and clinician expertise can guide the decision-making process for the physical therapy management of a client presenting with dyspareunia and sacroiliac pain. Although the therapist also presented evidence-based options for intervention, the client's preferences were considered and regarded. (Source: Journal of Women’s Health Physical Therapy)

The Relationship Between Lower Extremity Alignment and Low Back, Hip, and Foot Pain During Pregnancy: A Longitudinal Study of Primigravid Women Versus Nulliparous Controls
Conclusions: Arch flexibility may be related to pain in the feet, legs, and low back. Furthermore, changes in lower extremity alignment during pregnancy may be related to musculoskeletal pain experienced by pregnant women. Health care practitioners should consider looking at foot and ankle measures when treating pain in pregnant women. (Source: Journal of Women’s Health Physical Therapy)
