Visualization of fibroblast activation using 68Ga-FAPI PET/CT after pulmonary vein isolation with pulsed field compared with cryoballoon ablation
ConclusionTissue response with respect to fibroblast activation seems to be less pronounced in PFA compared to established thermal ablation systems. This functional assessment might contribute to a better understanding of lesion formation in thermal and PFA ablation potentially contributing to better safety outcomes. Extensive cardiac FDG uptake in a patient with AL amyloidosis
We present case of a 44-year-old patient with typical angina, persistently elevated troponin and normal epicardial coronary arteries. He was initially treated for myocarditis due to chest pain with troponin rise. However, CMR finding of subendocardial enhancement, increased native T1 values as well as extensive diffuse FDG uptake on PET-CT also suggested inflammatory cardiac conditions. Quantitative flow ratio derived pullback pressure gradient and CZT-SPECT measured longitudinal flow gradient for hemodynamically significant coronary artery disease
ConclusionQFR-PPG significantly correlated with longitudinal MBF gradient and â–³longitudinal MBF gradient when used for physiological coronary diffuseness assessment. All three parameters had high accuracy in predicting RFR or QFR. Adding physiological diffuseness assessment increased accuracy for predicting myocardial ischemia.
