Significant delayed conduction and characteristic ventricular tachycardias in patients with cardiac sarcoidosis and electrical storm
ConclusionsES was common in patients with CS and VTAs. Significant depolarization abnormalities that appeared as QRS fragmentation, epsilon waves, and specific VT characteristics were associated with ES. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)

Correlation of ventricular pacing burden and left ventricular function in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction
ConclusionThe degree of RV pacing and other established risk factors for pacemaker-induced cardiomyopathy in patients with normal left ventricular function at the time of implantation do not appear to carry the same risk in patients with pre-existing heart failure who receive either single or dual lead pacemakers. Role of activation signatures in re ‐entrant ventricular tachycardia circuits
ConclusionsThe activation signal algorithm, simple to implement for real-time computer display, approximates the VT isthmus location and shape as determined from activation marking, and best ablation lesion location to prevent reinduction. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)

Outcomes of cardiac resynchronization therapy in congenital heart disease: A meta ‐analysis and systematic review
ConclusionThe overall response rate to CRT in CHD was 68%. Patients with systemic RV had a lower response rate to CRT when compared to patients with systemic LV. The total mortality rate after CRT implantation was 12%. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)

Cardiac magnetic resonance for early atrial lesion visualization post atrial fibrillation radiofrequency catheter ablation
ConclusionCMR can visualize PVAI-L immediately after the RFCA of AF even without the use of contrast agents. Future studies are needed to understand if the use of CMR for PVAI-L detection after RFCA can improve the results of ablation procedures. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)

Patient ‐reported quality of life and acceptance of the extravascular implantable cardioverter‐defibrillator: Results from pivotal study
ConclusionThe initial PROs for EV ICD patients indicated that patients had improvements in physical QOL from baseline to 6-month follow-up and markedly better overall acceptance of their ICD compared to a previous study with S-ICD and TV-ICD data. These initial results suggest that the EV ICD is evaluated positively by patients. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)

Acute procedural efficacy and safety of a novel expandable diameter cryoballoon in atrial fibrillation ablation: Early results from a multicenter ablation registry
ConclusionsOur real-world early data demonstrated high acute efficacy and safety of the novel-sized adjustable CB. The biophysical parameters were similar between the 28  and 31 mm balloons. No marked decrease in the incidence of PNI was observed even with 31 mm balloons. (Source: Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology)
