Incidence of contrast-associated acute kidney injury: a prospective cohort
CONCLUSION: The rate of CA-AKI is very low, if present at all, with newer ICMs, and excessive caution regarding contrast use is probably unwarranted.PMID:37791792 | DOI:10.1590/2175-8239-JBN-2023-0019en (Source: Jornal Brasileiro de Nefrologia)

Waiting time for kidney transplantation based on calculated panel reactive antibodies: experience of a southern Brazilian center
CONCLUSION: Patients with cPRA below 85% are more than twice as likely to receive a kidney transplantation with a shorter waiting time. The risk of graft loss after transplantation was similar in the different cPRA groups, and the adjusted risk of death was lower in nonsensitized recipients.PMID:37791791 | DOI:10.1590/2175-8239-JBN-2022-0132en (Source: Jornal Brasileiro de Nefrologia)

Use of sirolimus as an adjuvant therapy for kidney transplant recipients with high-risk cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas: a prospective non-randomized controlled study
CONCLUSIONS: This study suggests that sirolimus monotherapy may be useful as adjuvant therapy of high-risk cSCC in kidney transplant recipients. The conversion strategy used was well tolerated and safe regarding key mid-term transplant outcomes.PMID:37565728 | DOI:10.1590/2175-8239-JBN-2023-0013en (Source: Jornal Brasileiro de Nefrologia)
