Shiv Rajan, Vijay Kumar, Naseem Akhtar, Sameer Gupta, Arun ChaturvediIndian Journal of Cancer 2020 57(4):481-484 Worldwide, hospitals are facing problems in managing cancer patients during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Given the immense cancer burden of oral cancer in India, scheduling surgeries are becoming increasingly difficult. Anurag Mehta, Abhimanyu Sharma, Garima GuptaIndian Journal of Cancer 2020 57(4):473-477 A 64-year-old man presented with multiple, bilateral pulmonary nodules, considered clinically to be intrapulmonary metastasis from lung carcinoma. On histopathologic examination, a tumor with a solid growth pattern and rhabdoid neoplastic morphology was seen. Initially, a diagnosis of nonsmall cell carcinoma of lung was considered but the immunophenotype was not supportive. Further, extensive immunohistochemistry revealed SOX10, Melan-A, and HMB45 expression in the absence of S-100. Strong globular cytoplasmic staining for vimentin, SM...

Disturbances of calcium homeostasis in a child with acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Shreya Sharma, Purva Kanvinde, Sudha Rao, Sangeeta MudaliarIndian Journal of Cancer 2020 57(4):470-472 Hypercalcemia is a rare presentation of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and presents with nonspecific symptoms. A 11-year old boy developed severe hypercalcemia during initial presentation and relapse of ALL. Both times, he subsequently developed transient symptomatic hypocalcemia, associated with hypomagnesemia and renal tubulopathy. Disturbances in calcium homeostasis may rarely be the sole presenting feature of ALL in children, as a paraneoplastic syndrome, or may arise as a consequence of the malignancy...
