Acupuncture as an adjunctive therapy for gastric ulcer: A modified Delphi consensus study
CONCLUSION: There is a lack of definitive acupuncture guidelines that can effectively determine the optimal therapeutic approach for the treatment of gastric ulcer. This expert consensus provides recommendations for clinical research and practice of acupuncture, with a particular focus on the selection of acupoints. However, further exploration through rigorous studies is necessary due to the limited availability of clinical evidence.PMID:37865304 | DOI:10.1016/j.ctim.2023.102997 (Source: Complementary Therapies in Medicine)

The optimal exercise parameters of Tai Chi on the effect of glucose and lipid metabolism in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus :A meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Tai Chi can significantly improve the glucose and lipid metabolism in T2DM patients, and the 24-style simplified Tai Chi with high exercise frequency and short duration may be the optimal exercise parameter for enhancing glucose and lipid metabolism. Prospero Registration number: CRD42023395282.PMID:37858683 | DOI:10.1016/j.ctim.2023.102995 (Source: Complementary Therapies in Medicine)

Pain reduction, physical performance, and psychological status compared between Hatha yoga and stretching exercise to treat sedentary office workers with mild/moderate neck/shoulder pain: A randomized controlled non-inferiority trial
CONCLUSION: Hatha yoga was tentatively found to be non-inferior to stretching exercise relative to safety, for decreasing pain, anxiety, and depression, and for improving flexibility, neck functions, and quality of life.PMID:37863244 | DOI:10.1016/j.ctim.2023.102996 (Source: Complementary Therapies in Medicine)

Effects of Breathing Exercises on Low Back Pain in clinical: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
CONCLUSIONS: The results indicated that breathing exercises have a positive effect on alleviating LBP, but due to the lack of methodological rigor and some limitations of the included studies, more critical RCTs are still needed in the future to verify the precision of this conclusion. The protocol was registered in PROSPERO (No. CRD42022345561).PMID:37827444 | DOI:10.1016/j.ctim.2023.102993 (Source: Complementary Therapies in Medicine)
