Real-World Evidence of Triplet Therapy in Metastatic Hormone-Sensitive Prostate Cancer: An Austrian Multicenter Study
CONCLUSIONS: Triplet therapy arrived in clinical practice primarily for synchronous high-volume mHSPC. Regardless of selected therapy regimen, treatment is highly effective and tolerable. Preferably therapy should be administered simultaneously, however if not possible, chemotherapy should be started first.PMID:38267304 | DOI:10.1016/j.clgc.2023.12.018 (Source: Clinical Prostate Cancer)

Cancer screening in people with HIV: Implementation in clinical practice and barriers perceived by medical specialists in Spain
CONCLUSIONS: There are barriers and opportunities to expand cancer screening programmes in PLHIV, especially in colorectal, anal and lung cancers. It is necessary to allocate resources for the early detection of cancer in PLHIV, but also to disseminate CPGs screening recommendations among medical specialists.PMID:38262880 | DOI:10.1016/j.eimce.2024.01.007 (Source: Clinical Prostate Cancer)

Impact of prostate position-based image-guidance in intensity-modulated radiation therapy for localized prostate cancer
CONCLUSIONS: The use of P-IGRT with higher doses and smaller margins was correlated with significantly better biochemical control, and a lower incidence of rectal bleeding in IMRT for intermediate-risk prostate cancer. The enhanced accuracy using P-IGRT has the potential to independently improve disease control and reduce late rectal bleeding.PMID:38191958 | DOI:10.1007/s10147-023-02456-1 (Source: Clinical Prostate Cancer)

Benefit of dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) imaging for prostate cancer detection depending on readers experience in prostate MRI
CONCLUSION: Prostate MRI benefits from reader experience. Less experienced readers missed a relevant proportion of csPC with mpMRI and even more with bpMRI. The overall performance of expert readers was comparable for mpMRI and bpMRI but DCE enabled detection of some further ISUP 2 PC.PMID:38185579 | DOI:10.1016/j.crad.2023.11.026 (Source: Clinical Prostate Cancer)
