Caregiver Preparedness: A Therapeutic Mechanism and Moderating Factor on Outcomes for the Savvy Caregiver Program
CONCLUSIONS: Pre-post change in caregiver preparedness significantly predicted pre-post change across measures of caregiver burden, depressive symptom endorsement, and anticipatory grief. Findings suggest that caregiver preparedness may be one mechanism by which the SC confers positive outcomes. These findings provide an empirical and theoretical basis for tailoring future dementia caregiver interventions.CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS: Clinical Interventions may seek to improve caregiver preparedness and subsequent outcomes through utilization of programs like SC.PMID:37530457 | DOI:10.1080/07317115.2023.2242357 (Source: Clinical Gerontologist)

Association Between Personality Traits and Functional Limitations in Older Adults with Affective Disorders: A Cross Sectional Study
CONCLUSIONS: Personality traits are related to functional limitations independent of the severity of affective disorders in older adults.CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS: Personality traits may be used as predictive factors for functioning in older adults with affective disorders.PMID:37515583 | DOI:10.1080/07317115.2023.2240317 (Source: Clinical Gerontologist)

Webcam-Based Eye-Tracking of Attentional Biases in Alzheimer's Disease: A Proof-Of-Concept Study
CONCLUSIONS: AB measures were in-line with lab-based eye-tracking literature, providing some support for WBET-based measurement.CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS: Establishing the feasibility of WBET-based measures is a step toward an objective home-based clinical tool. Literature-based suggestions are provided to improve reliability.PMID:37515584 | DOI:10.1080/07317115.2023.2240783 (Source: Clinical Gerontologist)
