Leadership experience
Hi,
I am currently working on an aadsas application. I have a leadership experience as co-founder, treasurer and then president of a literature club. But our club is inactivated because the previous president did not finish the training and we do not have enough members. I did put a lot effort to do the fundraising and flyer design. Unfortunately, we only sell a few cookies and got three new members. I do not want to say we failed, but we nearly lose all of the old members. Could I still put...

Abortion in PS?
Hello SDN!
I'm writing my personal statement currently, and wondering if abortion is as taboo a topic within the medical community as it is in the general population? It is one of the things I'm most passionate about, and one of the areas where I have done the most service (fundraising, personally driving women who didn't have transportation, etc) but now I'm worried that it isn't good to bring it up. The answer to Why Medicine? for me would easily be that I want to be an abortion provider...

Re-applicant PS Question
I am the treasurer of an organization, and for the past year I have been trying to acquire funding for a program that I want to start. However, I'm finding that it is actually quite hard to get funding for a program. So last year I talked about having this idea in my secondaries (I said that I was going to be acquiring funding for these programs). My question is, is it bad to reference this project (still in fundraising mode) in my upcoming PS even though it works with the PS? Thanks (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Boxing or graphic designer
Hey everyone, so I am torn between doing boxing or being employed as a graphic designer for a student newspaper at my school. Both have huge time commitments.
Boxing is a very unique club because we use boxing as a fundraising event at our school.
If I work as a graphic designer, I have to work four hours per week.
Can anyone give insight as to which one would be "better"? Thanks so much (Source: Student Doctor Network)
