Naomi Osaka
The F U fund is often mentioned in this forum. Naomi Osaka has both F U money and F U talent. She wants to play tennis, not trot out for their stupid and extraneous dog and pony show. Learning a 2nd language (French/Spanish)
I have some extra time now, MS3, and have always wanted to learn a second language! For background, I'm interested in a US dermatology residency and spent considerable time building my CV early on, if that matters. I have time before I would apply. I've tried spanish multiple times and lost interest, mainly learning it for the utility. I'm much more interested in french (culture, literature, arts), but I realize might not be as useful applying to a US residency. Should I keep grinding... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

3 courses Fall 2020 Semester
Hey guys! I enrolled for 4 courses this semester. 2 lab courses, one English, and french (for a service trip I'm applying to) but because of COVID, family situations, and an elective surgery I had this semester I ended up dropping my biology course. I wasn't doing bad but the transition online wasn't smooth at all for the lab, and my prof wasn't one of the best. I would have been able to have handled it had I not had surgery this semester but... Anyway, I'm still ending up with a 4.0 GPA... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

IB subjects
Hii we're selecting subjects pretty soon and this is what I have so far Chem, Bio, Psych, LaL, French AB but dunno between maths AI or AA. I've read that AI is better for science/health-related fields. But AA uses a more classical approach to maths. Don't know which maths to pick. Leaning more to AA though. As for HLs and SLs, we pick them in year 12. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Question about Canadian (Quebecois) transcripts as an American student
Hello everyone! First post here. Thank you for taking the time to help! I am an American student who took a five week french immersion class during the winter of my freshman year. It was at a small school in Quebec, in a town that is entirely french speaking. I did not transfer the course to my home institution, nor gain any credit, (it was an audit). For this scenario, would this count as a "foreign institution" by any chance and possibly not require a transcript? (Even though it's... French press and cholesterol
I wanted to see if anyone had heard of the link between LDL, TGs, and French press coffee. I don’t think it’s been well studied but there are some hints out there that it’s a real thing. My own panel showed a significant drop after completely switching to filtered drip. I drink probably 3/4 gallon of coffee daily, many press drinkers are in that category of addict as well. This might sound trivial, but I’m seriously considering including it among counseling points for statin patients. Anyone... French press and cholesterol (Source: Student Doctor Network)
