Former Brookdale exec named CEO of local company
Loden Vision Centers has tapped a former Brookdale Senior Living Inc. executive as its next CEO.   Matthew Pierre now leads the locally based ophthalmology company’s C-suite, according to a news release.  Founded in 1999, Loden Vision Centers employs approximately 130 people and provides LASIK surgery at five area locations, according to the release. BOSTON (CBS) — LASIK surgery has been used by an estimated 20 million Americans to improve distance vision, but a former FDA adviser is calling for it to be pulled from the market. Morris Waxler once voted to approve LASIK but, he tells CBS News he made a mistake.
