BurnOuts in the Sky Fund Raiser For Bradley McPherson Memorial ADHD Scholarship Fund Aug 24th

This ADHD scholarship fundraiser and Car Show is happening this Saturday in memory of Bradley McPherson who had ADHD and was killed for being a Good Samaritan.
Great idea! ADHD students have more trouble in school than others, have higher rates of grade failure and drop outs. BC got a failing grade in CADDAC’s ADHD School Report Card

Where Is The Perfection In My Son?

I read this amazing story in the power of intention by Dr. Wayne Dyer. It was written by Rabbi Paysach Krohn who knows Shaya’s father personally and told it to him. It’s in his book, Echoes of the Maggid: Heartwarming Stories and Parables of Wisdom and Inspiration published in 1999. via Dare To Do Your Best.
I don’t know if Shaya has ADHD or just learning disabilities, 30% of people with ADHD have LD, and there is a high rate of ADHD among those with learning disabilities, but I think anyone ADHD/LD/ or neither can be inspired by this.

Georgia Straight editor Charlie Smith did an great article about the 6 year campaign ( we adders can be very tenacious if we really want something) I and others have been waging to try to reopen the BC adult ADHD clinic by getting BC politicians to stop neglecting ADHD.
