Content uniformity (CU)
I've read Appendix XII C A-V417 of British Pharmacopoeia and BP has 2 ways to assess content uniformity (CU). One is CU refers to Ph.Eur.method 2.9.6 and one is CU in the treatise on Uniformity of Dosage Unit. The assessment standard of these 2 methods are different but Idk which CU to apply in a particular situation? Thank you for helping me! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

He underwent a successful laparoscopic surgery on Saturday lunchtime. Following surgery, Alex suffered with unexpected post-operative anaesthetic complications which led to respiratory failure, a known but uncommon complication. He was re-intubated and... Why are sick days so frowned upon in EM residency?
There’s a culture of pushing through illness throughout medicine but it seems EM really takes the cake. A friend of mine asked to leave her shift early for severe abdominal pain and fever but was told “we don’t do that here.” She goes straight to the other ER in town after her shift and turns out she’s septic with gangrenous appendicitis. She was hours away from having a burst appendix. Returns after her surgery and doesn’t get so much as an apology, gets a total of 2 days off which she has... Neuropsych Report Writing
Hello! I was reviewing some of the example report templates provided on the IOPC website and am always so fascinated by how different approaches there are to writing neuropsych reports. I was particularly curious if anyone has any thoughts about the pros/cons of including a lengthy written test results section vs. including a score appendix/data and simply providing an integrated summary of the findings, specifically within an outpatient hospital setting. I've had supervisors do both so... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Statrad
I hate them. The appendix looked at me and gave me a wink so cannot exclude acute appendicitis. The patient has a colon so could be colitis. Normal brain ct, recommend MRI. (Source: Student Doctor Network)
