The influence of parental body composition and lifestyle on offspring growth trajectories
ConclusionsThis study highlights the contribution of parental lifestyle characteristics on weight trajectories of their daughters during the first year of life. The paternal impact stresses the need to further investigate health behaviours of expecting fathers in relation to offspring health. Family-based interventions are needed with a focus on increasing PA and limiting ST in both parents.
