A Multilayered, Lesion-Embedded Ultrasound Breast Phantom with Realistic Visual and Haptic Feedback for Needle Biopsy
This study aimed to develop a breast tissue-mimicking phantom that offers realistic haptic feedback and ultrasound imaging during needle insertion. We investigated the tunability of the mechanical and acoustic properties of breast tissue-mimicking materials (TMMs) to emulate fat, glandular and tumor tissues.
